Post Conference Tour

1-day Social Tour

A full day tour will leave from the university campus at around 7.30am on Friday 8th December, returning that evening via Perth Airport and a central city drop off from 7.30pm for those needing to catch a late flight or return to a city hotel. We will then reach the campus around 8pm.

Limited seats are available so book early. The cost will be AU$150 (less the $50 food vouchers we give you). Bookings should be made on registration or directly with ATL. If the response is less than 12 we may not proceed with the tour.

We will head up the West Coast Highway and stop for morning tea near Lancelin where we can take in the sea air and walk along the majestic sand dunes. We do not have the time (or budget) for you to go dune-boarding or 4-wheel driving (or the insurance) but the visit is well worthwhile.

We will then proceed to visit the Pinnacles Desert in the Nambung National Park giving you plenty of time to wander at will and play and take pics amongst these unique ancient limestone structures.

You will by now have worked up an appetite for lunch at the impressive facilities of The Lobster Shack in Cervantes, fifteen minutes north the Pinnacles. After you have dined on the morning’s catch from the Indian Ocean only metres away from the restaurant [we will give you a $30 voucher to put towards your meal].

After the Lobster Shack visit we will drive by some impressive wind and solar farms en route to visit a Free Range Emu Farm before we finish the day at a local winery for food and a welcome cellar door tasting  [with a $20 voucher from us].
